As of this writing, the Instagram Reels feature is available only in Brazil, France, Germany, and the United States, with more countries rolling out in the coming weeks. What are Instagram Reels?

Like Tik Tok videos on the For You page, Instagram Reels appear on the Instagram Explore page.

How to create your first Instagram Reel

Using Reels remains as simple as using Instagram Stories.

Before you begin, ensure your Instagram app is up to date (minimum version 153.0).

  • Step 1: Open your Instagram handle and go to your feed
  • Step 2 – Open your Instagram camera. And also you will notice a change in the interface (now you have three options at the bottom: Live, Story, Reels)
  • Step 3 – Tap on the Reels option
  • Step 4 – On the left side of the screen. And also you’ll notice four controls that help create your Reel (explained in more detail below).
  • Step 5: To record an Instagram reel. Tap and grip the “Record” button or tap on the video to end the clip. Tap again. Also, you can choose the Camera Roll on the left to upload a film from your phone.
  • Step 6: Once you have recorded your Reels, review your work by pressing the ‘Back Arrow’ button. You can trim your video or delete it with the ‘Delete’ button just below if you don’t like how it turned out.
  • Step 7: Next, tap on the ‘Forward Arrow’ button to add stickers and emojis. You can’t enhance polls or question boxes to it. But you can play with some drawings and the eraser and customize the text.
  • Step 8 – If you’re happy with your video, tap the ‘Forward Arrow’ button again to add a title and cover photo
  • Step 9 – Blow Share and tap Done

  • Select a song you can use from Instagram’s music library or record a reel with your original audio.

  • Select a duration for which you want a clip to remain recorded to make it hands-free. Once you hit record. You will see a 3-2-1 countdown. And the recording will stop in the amount of time you have
